Al served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW in Port Huron. He was a construction worker and a member of Laborers International Union of North America Local 1025. Al was a musician for over 50 years and played both steel and lead guitar. He was loved deeply, and will be missed by family and friends.
He is survived by five children, Cheryllyn L. (David) Gosselin of Columbus Twp., Allyn L. Fay of St. Clair, Curtis L. (Rebecca) Fay of Jeddo, Crystil L. (Joe) Reusser of Croswell and Karie L. Fay-Agas of Marysville, 14 grandchildren, 3 sisters, Clarice, Sharon, and Mary, 3 brothers, James, Donald, and Michael, his mother-in-law, Madge Johnson of Rochester Hills, 3 sisters-in-law, Linda, Sheila, and Janie, and a brother-in-law, Robert.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Marilyn Fay, a brother Harlan Fay, and his father-in-law, John Johnson.
The funeral service will take place at 2 PM Saturday in the Smith Family Funeral Home - North, 1525 Hancock Street with The Rev. Bernie Long officiating. Burial will follow in Burtchville Twp. Cemetery.
