Dorothy M. Chambers Buttchen, 90, of Necedah, died Sunday, May 1, 2011, at Tomah Memorial Hospital. She was born on Oct. 16, 1920, to Lloyd and Mabel (Miller) Carey in Elroy. She was united in marriage to Harry Chambers on March 7, 1939. He preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 1981. Harry and Dorothy had five children together. On April 2, 1983, Dorothy was united in marriage to Leon W. Buttchen in New Lisbon by Pastor King. Dorothy and Leon enjoyed spending time dancing and listening to country music.

She is survived by her husband, Leon; three children; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-greatgrandchildren; 10 stepchildren; many stepgrandchildren; numerous nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Chambers; a son; a daughter; a son-in-law; a great-greatgranddaughter; five brothers and three sisters.

A funeral Service was held on Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at 1 p.m. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St., Tomah. Pastor Stephanie Homan officiated. Burial was in the Wood Cemetery.
