Joseph A Lehmann, well known and successful farmer of McLean County, IL and living at Chenoa, born 5 miles north of Bloomington on March 2 1863, son of Peter and Magdalena (Stalter) Lehmann. He ws reared and eduated in Livingston County, IL and was a farmer. On Feb 3 1887, he married Martha Amelia Unzicker, a native Lexington, IL and daughter of Joseph and Magdalena (Smucker) Unzicker. Mr. Joseph Lehmann died Oct 28 1936 and his wife (Martha) died July 23 1906. They had 7 children: Emma M (3/11/1888), Martha Amelia (1/11/1890), Ida M (1/8/1892), Pearl E (6/18/1893), Joseph P (12/21/1894), Matilda E (10/10/1898) and Magdalena I (4/27/1904). Mr. Lehmann was a republican and member of the Mennonite Church.

Mr. Lehman was born April 2, 1863, and lived most of his life in the vicinity of Meadows. He leaves his wife and six daughters and one son as follows: Mrs. Manuel Augspurger of Lexington; Mrs. Arthur Tobias of Bloomington; Mrs. Aaron Roszhart of Chicago; Mrs. Joseph Zimmerman of Saybrook; Tillie, Lena, and Joseph at home. The funeral is to be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Mennonite church at Meadows.
