History on Cyrus "C.P." Reed, he is the second oldest child of William Henry Reed and Annie Amelia McKee, he was born in Illinois. He, his parents and siblings moved to Missouri in 1895. They first settled in Holden, Johnson Co., MO. Later bought property near Centerview.

He married Minnie Ella Stark, they were married in Jefferson City, MO, where Cy was employed by the Missouri-Pacific Railroad.

They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Holden, MO. December 1968. All their children, grand children and great grand children were present, along with many well wishers from Holden and Surrounding towns,
they have 2 children.
