John McAninch was a farmer in Madison Twp., Clarion CO., Pa. He was born and lived his entire life in Madison Township.

He married Isabella Walls before 1845. They had 11 children and 9 lived to adulthood.

The last will and testament of John McAninch, late of Madison township, has been proved before Register Graham, and letters testamentary on the will mentioned have been issued by him to L. F. Randolph, the executor therein named. John McAninch, the testator, directed that all his just debts and legal expense of settling his estate be paid out of any portion of his estate of which he might die possessed. He devised and bequeathed the residue of his property, both real and personal, to his beloved wife, Isabella McAninch, to have and hold as long as she may live. At her death all the property remaining is to vest in his son, John B. McAninch, provided he shall have paid certain expenses and maintained the testator's wife.
