Coy Tucker, 85, a former resident of Harrison, died at Colorado Springs, Colo., on Feb. 28, 2009.

Graveside service at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, at Bethany Cemetery near Bergman with the Rev. Ernie Nelson officiating.

Coy was born near Harrison on June 16, 1923, a son of Ross and Gullie (Birdwell) Tucker. Before his retirement, he worked 30 years for the Colorado Division of Wildlife.

He served our country during both WWII and the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Beuna Smith of Bergman and Betty Dixon of Harrison; and his twin brother, Roy Tucker, also of Harrison.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Tucker of Birmingham, England; a son, Gene Tucker and his wife of Redding, Calif.; granddaughter, Shannon Tucker and great-grandchildren, Brandon and Tyler Cannon, all of Roseburg, Ore.; a step-granddaughter, Laurel Young of Helena, Mont.; a brother, Wayne Tucker of Harrison; brothers-in-law, Dale Dixon of Harrison and Sam Smith of Bergman; and several nieces and nephews.
