Albert B Modesitt, aged 73, died Sunday at 11 o'clock at his home, north of Ellsworth. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the residence. Mr. Modesitt was born in Clay county, Feb. 4, 1846. He came to this county when a small boy and was a graduate of Rush medical college in 1870 and practiced for a number of years. Later he returned to farming, in which he was occupied up until the time of his death. He is survived by his widow, four daughters and two sons. The daughters are Mrs. Grace Crabb, of Chicago, Mrs. Lewis Snider, Indianapolis and Misses Pansy and Ellen, who live at home. The sons are James B., of Milwaukee and Charles Modesitt of this city.
