RICHARD E. ARNOLD, 83, of Ashland, died Sunday, March 15, 2009, at Brethren Care Nursing Home.
Born in Ashland on August 30, 1925, the son of Albert and Ethel (Funk) Arnold, he was an Ashland resident all his life.
Mr. Arnold was an employee of Columbia Gas of Ohio and retired after 35 years of employment.
On March 18, 1949, Mr. Arnold married Jessie Drennan, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Beverly Underwood of Ashland, Thomas Arnold of California and Richard James Arnold of Columbus; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Arnold was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald; and a sister, Ruth.
