DEATH NOTICES - JENNE

Funeral services are today at 10:30 a.m. in Garland Funeral Home for Bert A. Jenne, 85, one of Amherst's oldest lifetime residents.

The Rev. Jerry Paull, pastor of Park Avenue United Methodist Church, officiated.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst.

He was pronounced dead on arrival at Amherst Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home.

Mr. Jenne, 347 Cleveland Ave., was born in Detroit, Mich. but lived in Amherst most of his life. He was co-owner with his son of H. & J. Cleaners and Shoe Store until 1958. He served as bailiff of Oberlin Municipal Court for 15 years, retiring in 1973.

He was a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, the Rev. Foster H. Jenne, pastor of Washington Avenue United Methodist Church of Columbus; Burton J. Jenne, Columbus; one sister, Mrs. Lucille Hearn, Amherst; three grandchildren; and five grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Gideon Bible Society.
