Officiating at the funeral was Rev. Kenneth Wall, pastor of the East Winnfield Baptist Church, of which Mr. Cockerham was a member. Burial was in Old Union Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.
Born October 30, 1920, Mr. Cockerham is survived by his wife, Mrs. Houston Cockerham of Joyce; five sons, Charles, J. A., and Tommy Cockerham, all of Joyce, and Henry Houston Cockerham, Jr. and Ricky Cockerham of Colfax; two daughters, Vicky and Teresa Cockerham, of Joyce; one brother, M-Sgt. Earl Cockerham of Big Springs, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Catherine Barnett of Bossier City; and his father, Rev. J. A. Cockerham of Joyce.
Pallbearers were Earl Weatherford, Lloyd Allen, Alfred Parker, Huey Lasyone, Lawrence Jordan, and Walter Miller.
