Alice Frances Mayo, 82 died Tuesday, March 28 at South Miami Hospital following a short illness. A native of Charlotte Harbor, she had lived in Crescent City for several years, coming from the Miami area.

A member of the First Baptist Church in Perrine, she was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Crescent City. She was a life member and past Matron of the Narja Chapter Order of Eastern Star. She was a member of the Perine Women's Club.

She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob", Perrine; three daughters, Frances Shearer, Crescent City; Phyllis Johnson, Mobile Alabama; and Fern Weaver, Miami, a stepdaughter, Betty Lee, Newport News, Va.; a brother Samuel Loudermilk, Phoenix, Arizona; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday at the Alligood-Carrell Funeral Home, Miami. Interment followed on Friday at Eden Cemetery, Crescent City, Dr. William L. Pope officiating.

Confirmed with Ethel Emmaline Loudermilk Elvert Scott's granddaughter that Alice would send Ethel $200.00 in cash each month in an envelope, letter, card and sign off "Sisters Love" up until Ethel's death. It was a secret between the two sisters but Ethel's daughters and some granddaughters knew of that secret because they saw the money, cards, letters, and Ethel told them so.
