Erma L. Stahl, 84, of Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation
Center, formerly of 2263 Lennox St, died at 4:38 a.m. on Wednesday,April 30, 2008, in the WCA Hospital.A Jamestown resident most of her life, she was born Feb. 27, 1924, in Meadville,Pa., the daughter of James and Viola Shady Coon.
She was the widow of Donald G. Stahl, whom she married June 1946 and died June 24, 1988.Mrs. Stahl was a 1942 graduatemof Jamestown High School, and was a clerk at
Gray's Drug Store for 11 years and at Clark's Drug
Store for 18 years, retiring in 1987.She attended St. Luke's Episcopal Church and was a member of Henry Mosher
Post 638 American Legion Auxiliary, Falconer, John W.
Tiffany Post 53 Veterans of Foreign Wars, Women of the
Moose Chapter 134, Falconer, AARP, Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, and Women's International Bowling Congress.
Surviving are three sons:Jerry D. (Bobbie) Stahl and
Thomas L. Stahl, both of Jamestown, and Gregory P.
Stahl of San Antonio, Texas;two grandchildren: Jerri Ann
Stahl of Jamestown and Toni Marie Carvella of Kokomo,
Miss.; a sister Dorothy Hunt of Jamestown; and a companion,
Robert Lawson, with whom she made her home of Jamestown.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a
grandson, Donald W. Stahl;a sister, Joyce Coon; and three brothers: Wayne,James and David Coon.
