A son of John E. and Nancy (Hunter) Robbins, Frank grew to manhood working with his father on the family farm south of Greensburg, IN.

He married Katie Sefton in Decatur Co., IN Sept. 25, 1888, and was a successful and well known farmer in Washington Township of that county. He served as county commissioner for a term, and was vice president of Third National Bank and a director of the Union Trust Company. He was a mason and a member of the B.P.O.E. in Greensburg. A portion of Frank's obituary follows:

"He became seriously ill July 18 and was taken to the Mayo clinic for treatment in September. He had been in a very serious condition for the past two months.

"....he was one of 14 children.

"The surviving relatives are the widow, a daughter, Mrs. John H. (Lela R.) Christian of this city, and a son, William S. Robbins, at the family home. There are four grandchildren, J. Spotswood Christian, of Rushville, Lela Carol and Kirkwood R. Christian, of Greensburg, and George Franklin Robbins. One grandchild, Nancy June Robbins passed away Dec. 5.

"Other members of the family are a brother, William H. Robbins, near Greensburg; Mrs. Frank Kitchen, of Indianapolis; Mrs. Robert McCoy and Mrs. L. W. Gillespie, city. Those deceased are: Mrs. Sarilda Smiley, Mrs. Jennie Gilchrist, John E. Robbins, and Mrs. Ella Kitchen, the latter passing away Dec. 13.

"The funeral services were held in the home at 2 p.m. today, the Rev. O. T. Martin officiating, assisted by the Rev. E. R. Moon. The burial was in South Park Cemetery."
