The daughter of my ancestors, THOMAS & MARY (BRIGHAM) BENEDICT, and at the time of her birth, the family was living in Hashamommock near Southold, Long Island, New York. The family removed to Norwalk in the Colony of Connecticut around 1668/69, and she married Lieut John Olmstead on July 17, 1673.
