Ray E. Ertmann, beloved husband, dad, grandpa, and brother, took his first hike on a new adventure March 14, 2009.

He was born March 4, 1919 to Ellis and Anna Ertmann in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ray married Helen Allen Watkins in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on September 21, 1940. Helen preceded him in death on October 2, 2005.
Ray was actively involved with his family, community, and church. He was active in Scouting for 82 years and was recognized with the Silver Beaver Award. Survived by his children, sister, 13 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; one great, great, granddaughter.
Preceded in death by great grandson, Xaiden Ertmann; brother, Jack Ertmann.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Midvale 5th Ward Chapel 8171 So. Jackson St. (250 West).

Ray was a gentle man, happy, beloved, and endeared.
