Dr. George Clements is the youngest son of John Calvin and Cynthia Utley Clements. He was raised in Carroll Co., Tennessee, where his parents had moved from Wake Co., North Carolina. He grew up with his 6 siblings. They are:

Margaret Clements Moore 1831 – 1911
Mary Ellen Clements McCollum 1832 – 1871
Kesiah Clements 1834 –
Woodson C. Clements 1839 – 1890
Penelope B Clements Green 1840 – 1877
James Knox Polk "Jim" Clements 1843 – 1893

On 15 Jul 1863, Dallas mustered into service as a Pvt. for the Confederacy. Her enlisted in: Company B, Kentucky 7th Cavalry Regiment. At that time, he was living in Atwood, TN.

"Dal" as his mother called him, was licensed to practice medicine from: Eclectic Medical College, Eclectic Medical Institute, Cincinnati, 1869.

On 8 Oct 1869, he married Sarah "Sallie" Caroline Hooker. They made their home in Arkansas where they raised their 3 children:

Emma Lois Clements 1872 – 1962
Annie A. Clements 1874 – 1947
Linnie B. Clements 1876 – 1946

Loving wife Sallie preceded Dallas in death by 5 years and they are laid to rest here together. Dal is my 2nd GG Uncle, the brother of my Gx2 Grandmother.
