Mr. Joe Lee Beck, age 90, of Winnfield, La., passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2006, at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Alexandria, La. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Winnfield. Mr. Beck served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was the son of the late Joe Beck and the late Mary (Barnes) Beck. Mr. Beck is also preceded in death by his sister, Gladys Connor.
He is survived by his wife Betty Beck of Winnfield;
Two Daughters, Betty Joe Carpenter and husband Raymond of Winnfield, La. Eunice Beck of Winnfield, La.
One Son, James Beck of Winnfield, La.
One Sister, Vera Albritton of Winnfield, La.
One Brother, W. J. Beck of Winnfield, La.
Eight grandchildren Fourteen great-grandchildren
Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, La., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Thursday, September 21, 2006 and from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM Friday, September 22, 2006. Funeral services will be held at Southern Funeral Home at 10:00 AM Friday, September 22, 2006 , with Rev. Lindsey Burns and Rev. Deloy Shows officiating. Interment will be at the Winnfield City Cemetery in Winnfield, La.
