Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 28, 1989 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island, Nebraska. Interment was held in the West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Island.

OBITUARY: Clara Andrews

Clara May Andrews, the daughter of Schuyler and Nell (Rickley) Robinson, was born at Cedar Rapids, Nebraska, on May 28, 1902, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on April 25, 1989, at the age of 86 years, 10 months, and 27 days.

She grew up and graduated from high school at Cedar Rapids.

On March 8, 1922, she was united in marriage to John Andrews at Belgrade, Nebraska. He preceded her in death in October of 1953. They ran a grocery store in Cedar Rapids, and in 1924 they moved to Albion. In 1934 they moved to Columbus, and in 1935 they returned to Albion and bought a grocery store. In 1937 they moved back to Columbus, and in 1944 they moved to Grand Island. She worked as an alterations seamstress for J.M. McDonalds form 1954 until she retired.

May was a member of the Grand Island Trinity United Methodist Church, and had belonged to church circles for 60 years.

She enjoyed decorating her home for all season and holidays, and wrote and had published many beautiful poems. May loved her home and flowers and garden very much. She always made all of her own clothes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Imo Wilson and one brother Henry Robinson.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her daughter, Barbara Myers and her husband Keith of Lincoln; 2 sisters, Carrie Garvin of Canon City, Colorado and Ione Milburn of Albion, Nebraska; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
