WEST CLARKSVILLE —
The funeral of J. B. Murray was held here Thursday afternoon with a prayer service at the home of a son, Lloyd, at one-thirty o'clock, followed by services at the First Baptist Church at two o'clock, with the Rev. Milford Shreckengost officiating. Burial was in West Clarksville Cemetery. Active pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased, James, Earl, Francis and Gerald Murray, Adrian Williams, and Paul Barber. Surviving are two daughters Mrs. Ernest Brook of Olean, and Mrs. F L. Barber of Obi; three sons, William of White Creek, Leon and Lloyd of West Clarksville; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Mr. Murray was born July 20, 1856 here, he was married to Mary Elizabeth Clark of West Clarksville at Hinsdale in September, 1880. Mrs. Murray died November 17, 1935, at the age of seventy-five years. Relatives attended the funeral from Olean, Cuba, Friendship, White Creek, Wellsville, Bolivar, Scio and Portville.
