Kathryn was born Oct. 4, 1914, to John Robson Ayre and Catherine Christensen in Scofield, Utah. She moved to Murray, Utah, where she played basketball and baseball in High School and graduated in 1933. She married Henry Glen Clements on Nov. 24, 1939. It was the beginning of 51 wonderful years. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on Dec. 7, 1951.
They had twin daughters and a son. Glen built a beautiful home in American Fork where they lived for 53 years. They loved to travel and went to almost every state and also visited the Holy Land and England. They went to Alaska many times and canned salmon. There was a great love between them.
Kathryn was a dedicated member of the LDS Church and was baptized in the historic Salt Lake Tabernacle. She loved serving in the Relief Society, Primary and Mutual. She especially enjoyed teaching at the American Fork Training Center. She was a temple worker in the Provo Temple with Glen and attended the Temple weekly for many years. Kathryn and Glen gave many Books of Mormon away in their travels. She was a wonderful woman and a great example to all who knew her.
She is missed dearly. She is survived by her children; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Preceded in death by her parents and two brothers and one sister.
A celebration of Kathryn's life was held on Sat. June 2, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the American Fork 6th Ward, 320 N. 100 E. Friends called on Friday, June 1, 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E 100 N, American Fork, and one hour prior to the funeral.
Interment at the American Fork City Cemetery.
