John W. Holt - SNOW CAMP - Final rites for John W. Holt 85, of Rt. 1, Snow Camp, were conducted this afternoon at 3.30pm at Bethel UMC. He died Sat nite at 8.35pm in a Burlington hospital after 4days of critical illness. The service was conducted by Rev. Donald F.Gum, pastor, assisted by Rev.Lloyd Hunsucker, former paster and the Rev. George Johnon, pastor of Faith Meth Ch. Burial at Moore's Chapel Cemetery. A native of Alamance County, Mr. Holt was the son of the late Seymour & Margaret Ann Albright Holt. He was a retired farmer & member of Bethel UMC. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sallie Bivens McPherson Holt of the home; 4 stepdaughters, Mrs.Wilson Foust of Graham, Mrs.Raymond Hall & Mrs.Talmade Shaw, both of Snow Camp and Mrs. W.C.Seawell of Raleigh; one sister, Mrs Betty Starr of Graham & one brother, Sterling Holt of Landrum, SC; 10 stepgrandchildren & 11 step-greats.
