Mrs. Luease Simon, 77, a longtime resident of the Haines community died Monday at St. Elizabeth Hospital after a long illness.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 7, at the Beatty Chapel with the Rev. Tom Foster officiating. Burial will be in the Haines Cemetery.
Mrs. Simon was born March 17, 1884, at Salem, MO., and had resided in Haines since 1888. She married Elmer L. Simon at Haines in 1904 and he died in 1939.
Survivors are one son, Herbert Simon of Beaverton, OR.; two grandchildren, Linda and Donald Simon of Baker; a brother, William H. Yankey of Haines; several nieces and nephews. One son, Charlie, preceded her in death in 1946.
