She was also one of the first folks to teach a cooking class in Colorado Springs. She ran Travel-Tangs School of Cookery for many years.
Jeannette loved to play darts and made friends with everyone she met. Jeannette was extremely proud of her Irish heritage and would be pleased if you'd tip a pint in her honor on St. Patrick's Day.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Bert McCarty and her sister, Clellene Fry. She is survived by her children, Linda Madson and husband Jerry, William Johnson and wife Debbie, Maureen Strom and husband Daniel; sister, Sandra K. Fortelka; brother, David McCarty; eight grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
