Prominent Woman of Golinda Community Died Thursday A. M.

Mrs. Dora Moore, age 68 years, died Thursday morning at 9:45 a.m. at her home in Golinda. She has been in ill health for some time. The funeral will take place Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. from the Baptist Church at Robinson . Rev. C. E. Poe officiating, interment at Robinson , where the body will be taken in the motor hearse of Undertaker F. M. Compton.

Mrs. Moore who was the wife of Rev. A. J. Moore, well known Baptist Minister, had been a resident of McLennan County for the past 31 years. She was a native of Georgia, and she was greatly beloved by a wide circle of friends and acquaintances.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Moore is survived by one son, R. M. Moore and four daughters, Mrs J. W. Baxley, Downsville, Mrs. J. T. Climer of Golinda, Mrs. A. L. (John L.) Carey and Mrs. C. L. Simons, Robinson.

Dora was the mother of 9 children, only 6 lived to adulthood.

(Note: R. M. Moore was her nephew, not her son, her son was Robert T. Moore of Bosque(ville).

Dora parents were Thomas J. Stevenson, b. 1825 GA, d. 1863 TN and Sarah Hudson Stevenson. Sarah was later married George Weaver.
