Mrs. Irene Pepper, wife of Richard Pepper, died at the family home in Peck on Saturday, February 7th, of pneumonia, after a very brief illness. Deceased was born in Arispie, Pottawatomie county, Kansas, June 13, 1880. On September 2, 1914, she was married to Richard Pepper, who with three children, Iola, Esther Hurt and Aldine, survive her. She was a member of the Baptist church, a woman of fine character, beloved by all who knew her. The funeral conducted by Rev. L. A. Rogers, was held at the home on Monday February 9th, and the remains interred in Council Hill cemetery, southeast of Peck.
