Ruth Allred, 72, of Norman, passed away on Thursday, March 5 in Lexington. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 9 at the Primrose Chapel. Interment will be at Norman IOOF Cemetery, under the direction of Primrose Funeral Service.Ruth was born March 18, 1936, to Boyd and Ila Ruth Cathey in Bearden, Arkansas. She owned Strawberry Hut Caf?, the Strawberry Patch Food Conn. and Ruth's Cake and Candy Supply. She loved to cook, camp, fish and travel.Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, D.K. Allred; her parents, Boyd and Ruth Cathey; her brothers, Ray, Carl, Bobby and Harold.She is survived by her son, Larry Smith and wife Pat of Arkansas; her daughter, Connie Allred of Chickasha; grandchildren, Jason and wife, Michelle of Virginia, Nick and Wife Kim of Moore, Donald Smith of Arizona, Laura Smith of Georgia, Justin Laughlin of Oklahoma City, Lance and wife Kim of Arkansas, Lacy Smith of Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Emma, Taylor, Distany, Megan, Jordon, Evvan, Landon and Reagen; and her friends and companions, Elizabeth and Dutch.
