Letha E. Marks, 106, of Morehead City, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2015 at Harborview Health Care Center.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday at First Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery.

She was a faithful lifetime church member that ministered to others through example. She was a devoted wife of a commercial fisherman and was a loving mother.

She is survived by three sons, William Donovan Marks and wife, Ida of Kansas City, MO, Jerry Marks and wife, Christobel of Morehead City, and David Darden Marks and wife Delores of Fuquay Varina, NC; 4 sisters, Carol, Lina, June and Elsie; 3 brothers, Richard, Larry and Donnie; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, W.H. "Willie" Marks, Jr.; a granddaughter, Marianne, a number of siblings, and parents, John and Ida Eubanks;

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Free Will Baptist Church in honor of Letha Marks, 912 Bridges St, Moreheaad City, NC 28557.
