DUNCAN, FRED A. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, August 13, 1920, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2006. Fred grew up in Dallas and El Paso, Texas. He served in the U.S. Navy for seven years, from 1938 through 1945. He was a crew member aboard the U.S.S. Arizona and was a member of the Arizona Reunion Association. Shortly after leaving the Navy he met the love of his life, Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Hodell, in Pomona, California. They married on February 10, 1947 and enjoyed nearly 60 years of love, companionship, raising a family, and much laughter. Fred worked for the General Telephone Company (GTE) for 35 years and retired in 1982. After retiring, Fred and Betty moved to Cherry Valley to spend their "golden years" playing golf, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Fred is survived by son, Greg Duncan, of Tucson, Arizona and his spouse Valerie; a daughter, Melissa DoVale, of Pasadena, California, and her spouse Scott; and a total of five grandchildren. Visitation Thurs., Dec. 7, 3:30-8pm with 7pm Vigil Service at Weaver Mortuary Chapel. Mass services will be held at 10am Fri., Dec. 8, 2006 at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, Beaumont site. Arrangements handled by: WEAVER MORTUARY Beaumont, CA. (951) 845-1141
