Mrs. Wayman was born in Greensboro, in Henry County and had lived in Indianapolis 40 years. Her girlhood was spent in Bedford, where she was a graduate of Bedford High School. A resident on Rockville Road 30 years, she was formerly an active member of the Wayne Township Parent-Teacher Association and was one of its founders. She was a member of Fourth Church of Christ, Scientist.

Survivors include three daughters...three sons...and six grandchildren.

Her cremains are buried in the same plot of her parents.

This is the obit of Floy Barnard Wayman, who descends from the Howland/Tilly family. Like others who escaped King James rule, she was a deeply spiritual person, who regularly read and taught her children the Bible. She had a great deal of fortitude, as shown by her accomplishments.

As her Physician husband was absent most of the time, she reared her six children virtually by herself. She kept a clean, orderly home and enjoyed having company regularly. She was a peaceful, loving person even though her life was stressful and she was responsible for carrying the load of rearing six children.

I look forward to her resurrection. I want to read her the Scriptures myself. She deserves to know all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with our successes. I hope our meeting is soon. John 5:28, 29 and Rev 21: 3, 4.
