Mr. James C. Summers, age 80 of Oakdale, TN passed away October 16, 2007 at the Life Care Center of Morgan County.
He was a law enforcement officer for Morgan Co. for over 35 years, an Army Veteran and a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Clellie and Ada Smith Summers, Brothers; John, Sam and Don Summers.
Mr. Summers is survived by his wife of 56 years; Dorothy Summers of Oakdale, Daughter; Dottie Johnson and husband Sonny of Oakdale, Son; Darrell Summers and wife Kathy of Oakdale.
Grandchildren; Travis Johnson and wife Paula of Oakdale, Holly Nelson and husband Paul of Oakdale, Dusty and Trent Summers of Oakdale.
Great-grandchildren; Chase, Eli, Garrett and Hanna all of Oakdale.
Sisters; Mary Willis and husband Edd of Oakdale, Louise Powell of Dayton, Ohio and Reba Ruppe of Oakdale.
Brothers; Bill Summers and wife Mona of Rockwood, Junior Summers and wife Winnie of Dayton, Ohio, Bobby Summers and wife Sandy of Dayton, Ohio. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of special friends and family members.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, October 18, 2007 at Schubert Funeral Home Wartburg from 6-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow with Bro. Sonny Johnson officiating.
Graveside services will be Friday morning, 11:00 a.m. in the Pine Orchard cemetery, Oakdale, TN.
