Obituary;
William Houston (Huse) Watson, 82 of the Pine Orchard Community in Oakdale died Tuesday, May 31, 1977 in the Harriman General Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Blanche C. Watson; sons, Alvin Watson of Coal Hill and Billie Watson of Oakdale; daughters, Vannie Underwood of Rossville, Ga., Mona Powell of Rockwood, Irene Helton, Dorothy Summers and June Horton all of Oakdale, Gladys Melhorn of Harriman.
Sisters, Ethel Williford of Oakdale, Ruth Farmer of Chattanooga & Lola Pendergrass of Nashville; 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight at Schubert's Funeral Home in Wartburg from 7 until 9 o'clock. Funeral services will be at the Pine Orchard Baptist Church at 2 o'clock Friday. The Rev. Fred Copeland and the Rev. Bill Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Pine Orchard Cemetery. Mr. Watson's grandsons will be his pallbearers.
