Wingate, April 30, - Gerald Archer Rush, 30, overseas war veteran, died at his home here at 11:00 on Sunday morning after an illness of several years with pulmonary tuberculosis.
During the war, Mr. Rush was a member of the 138th Infantry and saw action on the Muese-Argonne front in France during the heaviest of the American fighting.
He was born in Montgomery county on March 19, 1898, the son of Francis A. & Mary E. Rush. He was married to Eileen Amanda Murphy. He was a member of the Mellott Christian Church.
He is survived by his widow and four children, Ruth, age 8; Mary, age 7; David, age 5, and Cornelius, age 3; his mother, Mrs. Mary Rush of Wingate; two sisters, Mrs, Cliff Rodgers of Wingate & Mrs. Ardia Rush of Chicago, and a brother, James of Indianapolis.
