Lulu owned some homestead land and had sheep of her own. She died February 11, 1899 at age 18 from pneumonia in Pulaski County, Missouri. Lulu was never married.
She is survived by her parents; five brothers, James Wesley, Alfred Clifford, Thomas Monroe, Alty Melvin and Ralph Otis; three sisters, Lepha Anna, Katherine Francis and Hattie LaVada and numberous other family members.
She was laid to rest at the Concord Christian Church Cemetery in Concord, Pulaski Co., Missouri with many of her Sheeley family members, who are also buried there.
