Anna Prior is the daughter of Daniel Prior and Sarah Eggleston, whose families were early settlers of Windsor CT, where she was born. She moved to Middletown before her younger sister was born in 1698. She married Edward Bow (Bowe)
April 04, 1717 in Middletown, CT.
They had 4 children; Martha, Edward, Mary and Daniel.

Inscription:
"In Memory of Mrs Anna Ye wife of Mr William Ward who died Novembr 27 1755 in her 60th year.
All living must
Return to durst"

Barbour collection:
WARD
William, m wid Annar BOW, Nov __, 1755; died Nov 24, 1759

This implies that Anna was a widow from 1725 until 1755, and died within a month of her second marriage in 1755. Her second husband then died about 4 years later.
It is difficult to determine which William Ward it was. There were many in Middletown. Anna's daughter Martha married a William Ward, Jr., but the dates don't seem to indicate that the father or son could be the one, as they both died after 1760.
