She was born March 6, 1897 at Cleveland, Idaho, the daughter of Hyrum Rowley and Mary Louisa Ames Ransom. She spent her early life in Cleveland, where she attended schools. The family later moved to Juniper, Idaho, where she met her husband, David Wheeler Hutchison. They were married August 1, 1917, in Malad. The marriage was solemnized in the Loagan, Utah, LDS Temple on March 6, 1970. Following their marriage, they lived in Malta, Idaho.
She was a member of the LDS church, having served in various capacities in Primary, Sunday School, MIA, and Relief Society. She was a teacher in the Primary for 21 years.
After her husband retired as a mechanic, they both worked at Valley Vu Cemetery and the LDS Seminary in Malta.
She was active in Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John (Alora) Tyner, Lake Point, Utah, and Mrs. Clarence (Velda) Barrett, Malta; and 18 grand-children and 47 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Cloyd R. Hutchison and Edward Udell Hutchison, four grandsons, one great-grandson, her parents, eight brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Thursday, May 12, at the Malta Ward Chapel with Bishop Val Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the Valley Vu Cemetery, Malta.
