Mr. Phillip "Hank" Steven Schultz of Angleton, Texas, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2009. Mr. Schultz was a veteran fireman who spent 35 years with the city of Houston, and served as fire chief for the city of Lake Jackson, Texas, for five years.
He is survived by his former wife and longtime friend, Teresa Schultz; daughter, Crystal Speights and spouse, Scotty; granddaughter, Kaylee Speights; son, Duane Schultz; sister, Annette Hand and spouse, Claude; brother, Robert Schultz and spouse, Alamae; stepson, Mark Schultz; stepdaughter, Kelly Crum; numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved babies, Sid, Rudy and Mattie.
Funeral services are to be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Clute with Pastor Lyndon Pettijohn officiating.
Entombment will follow at Restwood Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Billy Yates, Mike Mathis, Mike Harper Sr., Mike Jr., Benny Lowery and Corky Cochran.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lake Jackson Volunteer Fire Department and Emergency Medical Service and Houston Fire Department.
