Effie May Littleton, daughter of J.T. and Rhoda Jane Cooley, was born June 28, 1882 near Cairo, and passed away Dec. 13, 1938, at her home near Keytesville, being 56 years, 5 months and 15 days of age at the time of her death. She was united in marriage to Berry Littleton Sept. 9, 1903. To this union four children were born, Jack and Iva Lou preceding her in death in infancy. Those left to mourn her loss are her husband and two children; Woodrow Thomas and Elva Frances; three sisters, Mrs. Lou Singleton of Clifton Hill, Mrs. Mollie Walker of Macon, and Mrs. Elva Rice of Keytesville; two brothers, J.W. and N.D. Cooley of Brunswick, also a number of other relatives and friends. About twenty-two years ago she united with the Elm Ridge Baptist Church and was a member of this church at the time of her death.
Mrs. Littleton had been in failing health for several years, bedfast for the last two months at the home of Mrs. James Rice, where her sisters cared for her until about ten days before her death, when she was moved to her home near Keytesville.
She was a good neighbor and friend and no night was too dark or stormy for her to go to some friend in time of need. She was very patient in her suffering.

No headstone was found for Greenberry or Effie but it is believed that they are buried near her father, Joseph Cooley
