Durward Vincent Branscorn, 70, of 133 B Armstrong
Street, Dublin, died Sunday,
March 6,1994 in the Roanoke
Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 24, 1924 in Montgomery County, he was the
son of the late George Cable
Branscom and Eva Lee Mailory Branscom. He was
preceded in death by three
brothers, George C. Branscom, Buddy Branscom and
Chesterfield A. Branscom. He
was a member of the Dublin
Baptist Church and was a
veteran of World War II
having served in the U.S.
Navy, He was a retired meat
department manager with
the Food Country Company
in Marion.
Surviving are his wife,
Sarah Elizabeth Chinault
Branscom of Dublin; one son,
Jeffrey Vincent Branscome
of King, N.C.; two sisters,
Bonalyn Hornarger of Salem
and Juanita Hodge of Roanoke; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be 2 p.m.
Tuesday at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Dublin, with
the Rev. Phil Taylor officiating.
Burial will be in the Sunset
Cemetery, Christiansburg.
Visiting will be any time
after 5 p.m. today at Bower
Funeral Chapel, East Main
Street, Dublin, with the family receiving friends from 7
to 9 p.m.

Dublin, is in charge of arrangements.
