Frank Stanley Gostomski, 81, of Route 1, Thorp, died November 26, 1980 at Victory Memorial Hospital, suddenly of a heart attack.

Mr. Gostomski was born January 21, 1899 at Amherst, Wisconsin, a retired farmer, he resided in this area 52 years. On January 17, 1922 at Cassel, Wisconsin he married Rose Barbara Gliniecki. They resided at Stratford before coming to Thorp. He was a member of St. Bernard's-St. Hedwig's Church and served in the first World War.

Surviving are his wife Rose, six sons, Lawrence of Thorp, Frank Jr. of Washington, Richard of Owen, Dennis of Florida, Victor of Texas, John of Nebraska,; six daughters, Lorraine Grajkowski of New Berlin, Edith Staron of Wisconsin Dells, Harriet Shay of Chicago, Rosemary Abramowicz of Lublin, Rita Haas of Greenwood, Phyllis Butek of Thorp; 55 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren; two brothers, Joe Gostomski of Florida and Nick Gostomski of Rosholt; three sisters, Jenny Gliniecki of Stratford, Valerie Peplinski and Susan Ludke, both of Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by one son, Arnold Raymond.

Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig's chapel, Saturday, November 28, 1980 with Father John Puerner officiating. Burial was made in St. Hedwig's cemetery. Grandsons were pallbearers.
