Owen Hawkins of Decatur died Sunday morning at Gravette Medical Center Hospital. He was born on September 27, 1867 in Huntsville. Surviving are his wife, Rosa Mae Hawkins; his daughters, Marie Louise Hudman of Mountain Park, New Mexico, Bonnie Stevens of Green Forest, Bessie Browers of Sacramento, California, and Ruby Morgan of Seminole, Oklahoma; his sons, Bill Hawkins of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Claude Leslie Hawkins and Owen Hawkins, Jr., both of Decatur, Paskel Boyd "Pat" Hawkins and Ray Orval Hawkins, both of Hugoton, Kansas, Paul Hawkins of Mountain Park, New Mexico, and Fay Franklin Hawkins of Pittsburg, California; his sister, Anna Parker of Huntsville; his brothers, Clark Hawkins of Huntsville and Cabble Hawkins of Phoenix, Arizona; and twenty six grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Decatur Assembly of God Church with Rev. Mary Cable officiating. Burial was in Decatur Cemetery under the direction of Pyeatte Funeral Home.
