Amos R. Eshelman was the son of Amos R. Eshelman and Nora Jane Allison.

He married Leona C. Riemer on 31 Aug 1940.

Amos R. Eshelman Sr.

Amos R. Eshelman Sr. of 12 Church Place, Mt. Lebanon, died Saturday in his home following an illness of two years. He was 83.
Mr. Eshelman was born in Haberstown, Pa., and was a resident of the Pittsburgh district for the past 35 years. Prior to that he had resided in McKeesport for five years.
Mr. Eshelman was a graduate of Millersville State Normal School in 1889 and had taught school in Lancaster County, Pa. His later years were spent in the building and contracting business in Pittsburgh.
Surviving are his widow Mrs. Nora J. Eshelman; two sons, C. M. ... Joseph A. Eshelman, hospitalized in the U. S. Naval Hospital at San Diego, Cal. and Amos R. Eshelman Jr. of Pittsburgh; three daughters, Mrs. Mary L. Riemer of Amherst, O., and Mrs. Marcella m. Kerner and Mrs. Emily R. Dilling, both of the Pittsburgh district and a brother, Jacob Eshelman of Harrisburg.
Friends are being received in his late home until 10 a.m. tomorrow, when the body will be taken to the Edward B. Laughlin Funeral Home, 3310 West Liberty Ave. for funeral services at 2 p.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
