Betty Elizabeth (Wall) McCurdy was born on Feb. 11th, 1900 in Montgomery County, Tennessee the daughter of Edward E. "Ed" Wall (1872-1919) and Susan Inez "Sue" (Talley) Wall (1868-1910). Betty was sister to Minnie Lee Wall (1898-1917).
Betty married William Warren McCurdy Sr. on Feb. 10th, 1920 in Montgomery County, Tennessee. Betty and William Warren had four children together: 1) Marie (McCurdy) Neblett (1921-2014); 2) Charles Edward McCurdy(1922-1923); 3) William Warren McCurdy Jr. (1924-1925); 4) Ralph Edward McCurdy (1927-2010). Betty and William Warren also had seven grandchildren together (four grandsons and three granddaughters).
Betty was the granddaughter of Hannon Buchanan "Buck" Wall (1846-1896) and Margaret Elizabeth (Proctor) Wall (1851-1935), and of Simmons Southerland "Sim" Talley (1840-1925) and Mary Elizabeth "Bettie" (Batson) Talley (1843-1878).
Betty now rests beside her husband (William Warren) and their two infant sons (Charles Edward and William Warren Jr.) at Mount Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Montgomery County, TN. Betty Elizabeth was a dedicated, lifelong member of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Montgomery County, TN.
