Thomas A. Edwards, 79, of Chatham, formerly of Springfield, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, at Memorial Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 4, 1926, in Mannsville, Ky., the son of Abner C. and Lillian Yancy Edwards. He married Al June Trede; she died in 1979. He married Vera Gustavson in 1982 in Jerome.
Mr. Edwards was a U.S. Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. He worked in sales for U.S. Electric. He was a member of St. Paul's Lodge 500, Ansar Shrine, Ansar Shrine Hospital Unit and Chatham United Methodist Church.
Survivors: wife, Vera; two stepdaughters, Debra (husband, Todd) Williams and Lisa (husband, Tony) Jones; six stepgrandchildren; brother, Kenneth (wife, Jan) Edwards of Pittsfield; two nephews; and a niece.
Services: Bisch Funeral Home West, the Rev. Keith Anderson officiating. Burial: Oak Ridge Cemetery.
