Carrie Mae Adams, 53, of Lubbock, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2009, at Covenant Lakeside. She was born April 6, 1955, in Plainview. She moved to Lubbock in 2004. She leaves to cherish her memory five daughters, Doris Jones, Monica Ivery, Marsha Jones, Aretha Jones, and Jackie Adams, all of Lubbock; five sisters, Minnie Devereaux and Irma Collins, both of Amarillo, Sandra Riddley and Rose Flueller, both of Hobbs, N.M., and Della Copper, of Lubbock; five brothers, Raymond Jones of Oceanside, Calif., Andrew Jones of Slaton, Robert Jones, Sr. of Kaufman, Edgar Jones of Dallas, and Vernon C. of Hugo, Okla.; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Slaton; burial will follow at Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary
