ROBERT C. ASHBROOK, of Bloomingdale, passed away Monday, August 6, 2007 at Spectrum Blodgett Hospital, Grand Rapids. Bob was born February 26, 1932 in Columbia Township, the son of Charles and Edna (Pike) Ashbrook, and has lived in the Bloomingdale area the majority of his life. He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving in Alaska, a member of the American Legion, and a member of theTownline United Methodist Church. Bob's enjoyments in life were driving his motorhome, putting up holiday decorations in his yard, and the outdoors. Surviving are his loving companion, Ann Wuis; 3 daughters, Deborah (Mike) Bales of AZ, Lynn Ashbrook of Allegan, Anita Ashbrook of AZ; a son, Michael (Dawn) Sellars of Pullman; 10 grandchildren, Aaron, Jasmine, Alisa, Virginia, Haylee, Jessica, Michael, Jordan, Jessica, Dylan; one great grandson, Connor; a brother, Howard (Shelby) Ashbrook of Bloomingdale. He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip; and his second wife, Rose Marie. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Saturday at the Townline United Methodist Church with Pastor Robert Pumfery officiating. The family suggest memorials to support the Crazy Horse Monument in South Dakota. Arrangements by BLOOMINGDALE CHAPEL, D. L. Miller Funeral Home.
