Vearl Guymon Harrison Alger, 76, died March 9, 1997 in Petaluma, CA, after a long illness.

She was born in Castle Dale, April 1, 1920, a daughter of William Lee and Una Geneva Seely Guymon. She married Douglas Seddon Harrison, October 14, 1939. They were later divorced. She then married Elden Ralph Alger, January 4, 1960. He died Jan 27, 1997. She lived in Emery County in her early years and throughout her first marriage. She moved to Salt Lake City in 1950 and her three oldest children joined her in 1953, where they lived until 1960, when she remarried and moved to California.

She is survived by three daughters and three sons, Janet Daniels, of Petaluma, CA; Judith Ann Harrison, of Cincinatti, OH; Alicyn Studyvin, of Payson; Edward D. Harrison, of Huntington; Bruce Alger, of San Jose, CA; Ralph Alger, of Pleasant Grove; 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ruth Jaloszynski, of Colorado Springs, CO; Del Ora Cook, of Provo; Uneta Grange, of Huntington; Patricia Crosby, of Bennion; two brothers, Jay Guymon, of Tempe, AZ; Duane Guymon, of West Valley City.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 15, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the Orangeville LDS Chapel. Friends may call at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale, Friday from 7-9 p.m. or from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church Saturday. Burial will be in the Orangeville Cemetery.
