He was the son of David James Apperson and Mary Frances (Duckworth) Apperson.

First married Eva Lewis (Storey) Apperson in 1899; after Eva's death in 1909, he later married Georgia Alice (Lewis) Apperson in about 1916.

L. S. Apperson Claimed By Death.

Montezuma, GA. September 18, - Funeral services were conducted from the residence Sunday morning for L. S. Apperson, well-known citizen of Montezuma, whose death occurred Friday night after a lingering illness at his home hers.

Mr. Apperson, who was 60 years old, came to Montezuma from Americus 20 years ago and was engaged in the mercantile business until his health failed. He was a member of the Methodist Church and took an active interest in the civic work of the community.

He is survived by his wife who was before her marriage, Miss Georgia Lewis, member of an old family of this section, and a daughter by a former marriage of Mrs. J. W. Griffin of Nashville, Tenn.

The Pallbearers - Not copied.

The services were conducted by Rev. H. C. Jones of Montezuma and Rev. Robert Kerr of Unadilla. Interment was at Felton's Cemetery.
