James William Gregory, 74-year-old lifelong Henry County resident, a successful farmer and for many years a justice of the peace for the Reed Creek district, passed away at his home near Figsboro Friday at 7:30 a. m. following an illness of ten days. Death was attributed to pneumonia.
The deceased spent his entire life, with the exception of several years residence in Martinsville, in the Figsboro community.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Palmyra Anglin Gregory and the following children: Mesdames Lester Kaufman, Newark, Ohio; L. E. Haley, Axton; A. J. Beck, city and W. M. Willis, city RFD; Messrs. Lindsey and Whitten Gregory, this city.
One sister, Mrs. Fannie Eggleston of Figsboro also remains.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. o'clock at Figsboro with interment following in Camp Branch Church Cemetery.
