Tempie Lee Balch, age 91 of Bon Wier, Texas, died on Monday, March 2, 2009 at Timberlake Health Care in Jasper, Texas.

She was born in San Augustine, Texas on Jan. 4, 1918 and had lived in Bon wier for several years.

She is survived by her sons, Bill Balch and wife, Cheryl, Gilbert Balch and wife, Diane and Paul Balch; brothers, Kay Fountain, Sam Fountain and wife, Exa and James Fountain and wife, Reva; sister, Nettie Marie Rayon; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Alfred Balch; brother, John Fountain and sister, Ardella Whitehead.

Visitation will be on Tuesday evening beginning at 6:00 pm with a memorial service to begin at 7:30 at Smith Funeral home in Newton. Graveside services will be on Thursday at 1:00 pm at New Hope Cemetery in San Augustine, Texas.
