A daughter of the late Walter and Mary Lou Hatfield Ellis, she was a member of Town Boulevard Church of God, in Middletown, Ohio. She was a former employee of Big Store Clothing of Morehead and Central Clothing of Middletown.

She is survived by: her husband; three daughters, Evelyn, Joyce and Louise; a brother, Charlie Ellis; two sisters, Venis Johnson and Mattie Mabry; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Tuesday, April 18, and burial will take place at Brown Cemetery.
